Psychoeducational Assessment

Service Description

Comprehensive psychoeducational assessment is an evaluation of the cognitive processes and executive functions that contribute to & underlie competent learning. Our assessment evaluates an individual's performance on Canadian standardized tests that measure cognitive abilities, executvie function, memory, attention, cognitive switching, retrieval speed, skill acquisition (reading fluency, comprehension, math fluency, computation, reasoning, spelling, written expression). We provide screening to identify any significant social emotional concerns that may interfere with learning such as depression, anxiety, high functioning autism, obessessive compulsive behaviour. Our assessment uses state of the art standardized Canadian normed assessment instruments for accurate cognitive and achievement testing results. IPADs are used for precision delivery and scoring of cognitive and achievement, language, memory executive function testing. Findings may result in a diagnosis of LD/Gifted/ID/ADHD/HF-ASD or social-emotional​ concerns (or rule them out). Student, teacher & parent-friendly reports with evidence-based Interventions/Adaptations/Accommodations provided based on diagnosis.
